The Arsenal Transfercast is back for its sixth episode, this one defined by the absence of one of our terrific trio. However, after a one-week hiatus due to technical difficulties, the podcast has returned!
This week’s rumours include a possible move for another Brazilian wonderkid named Gabriel, a report linking Kieran Tierney with a shock exit and yet another link with Nabil Fekir.
The Arsenal Transfercast Episode Six
A Man Down
The Arsenal Transfercast features three dedicated gooners. Martin Hawkins serves as department Arsenal content manager and has been at Last Word since January 2018.
Zach Rayment is not only a writer for the site but also produces the Footy A Deaux podcast alongside his brother. Finally, Chance Haire is the youngest podcast panelist, however, he makes up for that with plenty of insight into the game.
Sadly, the latter could not make it on the show this week due to a prior engagement. Martin and Zach, however, managed to stitch an hour together nonetheless.
17-year-old Gabriel Veron is making waves in his native Brazil. The Palmeiras attacker is now linked with a transfer to Arsenal following the resounding success of Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian side is said to want £26 million for the player.
Leicester City, at risk of losing Ben Chilwell to either Manchester City or Chelsea, are keeping an eye on Tierney. The Scottish left-back only just got to the club, however, so the team thinks an exit is highly unlikely.
Nabil Fekir is again tied to an Arsenal move. But, Zach and Martin agree that the rumour is flimsy at best. The remainder of the pod focuses on the financial implications of covid on Arsenal and the transfer market in general.
The duo feels that a lengthy rebuilding period will have to commence due to the outbreak’s impact on football.
