The Arsenal Transfercast returns with episode four in which our terrific trio asks the question; has the club regressed since losing Arsene Wenger?
As always, the show will centre around Arsenal transfer rumours, but in part two the panel delves deep into the bigger picture of what the club has done in the past can will do in the future.
Arsenal Transfercast Episode Four
Regression Session
The Arsenal Transfercast features three dedicated gooners. Martin Hawkins serves as department Arsenal content manager and has been at Last Word since January 2018.
Zach Rayment is not only a writer for the site but also produces the Footy A Deaux podcast alongside his brother. Finally, Chance Haire is the youngest podcast panelist, however, he makes up for that with plenty of insight into the beautiful game.
The rumour round-up in part one begins in France where the Gunners are eyeing Lille defender Gabriel Dos Santos [Magalhães]. He is a young left-footed centre-back who has plenty of upside, however, the panel debates whether or not the footedness of a player should factor into the club’s decision.
Thomas Partey has been the subject of many rumours recently. The defensive midfielder would fill a big need in the centre of the park for Arsenal and the terrific trio all agree the club should make a bid.
Houssem Aouar, midfielder for Lyon, wraps up part one. He is also being linked with an Arsenal transfer this week. However, his £65 million price tag may preclude the Gunners from a move.
As you may remember, Arsene Wenger and Ivan Gazidis are a big topic in part two and whether or not the club did better business with those two in charge compared to now. Part two features heavy discussion of the club’s handling of both transfers and contracts in general and should be of interest to any and all fans.
