Manchester United have been monitoring both Jack Grealish and James Maddison for some time, and they have recently made an intriguing decision regarding the pair as to where their priorities lie, according to Andy Mitten.

Grealish Grabbing United’s Attention

With Manchester United troubled by injury, they went into November’s fixture against Aston Villa rather less confident than usual. They were right to do so, with the Villains ending up holding out for a draw. Despite this, the match was an opportunity for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to observe an impressive talent first hand — Jack Grealish. The Englishman opened the scoring with a cracking goal, and afterwards, Solskjaer complimented him on it, saying “I can’t talk too much about other teams’ players if they are Man United caliber or targets.

“But fantastic goal. I think he has hit one of those corners that I have hit a couple of times. It was a great finish but then again we should defend better and show him down the left.

“But what a goal and he played a good game, definitely”.

This further intensified reports that the Red Devils were considering a move for him and the speculation has not stopped.

James Maddison Also Attracting Their Interest

James Maddison is another promising Englishman on United’s radar. The attacking midfielder has been very impressive for an over-performing Leicester City team this season, causing many rumours of the Manchester side’s interest in him.

United recently made the decision to prioritise a move for Grealish over one for Maddison, according to Mitten. This comes even despite Grealish’s recent breach of quarantine to attend a friend’s party during the Coronavirus pandemic, only to crash his car when trying to leave, drunk.

The Red Devils may, however, need neither of the players, with Bruno Fernandes a perfect player for them in attacking-midfield.
