Another Loan Spell
Bristol Rovers is the seventh loan spell of Blackman’s career.
Having come through the academy at Stamford Bridge, the now 26-year-old initially joined Middlesbrough on loan.
2016 saw Blackman join Swedish Ostersunds FK, where he made 12 appearances.
He then spent the 2016-17 season on loan with fellow League One side Wycombe Wanderers, where he made 42 appearances.
Loans spells with Sheffield United and Leeds United; however, his spell with Leeds was cut short due to a broken leg.

What Was Said
Bristol Rovers manager Ben Garner said to official Bristol Rovers website: “Jamal is a very talented goalkeeper and I’m delighted to welcome him to the football club.
“Jamal is someone who I actually tried to sign as a youngster at Crystal Palace, as his talent and ability was evident at an early age.
“He’s had a good upbringing at Chelsea and has benefited from a number of different loan spells throughout his career.
“The owners and recruitment team were very supportive in getting this deal done & it is a credit to the structures that we have in place that we’ve been able to secure what we think is a good deal for the football club.
“We would like to thank Chelsea for the swift nature in which the deal was concluded and I’m looking forward to working with Jamal for the remainder of the season.”
Bristol Rovers are currently 13th in League One on 36 points, but are without a win in their last nine games in all competitions.
