According to Sky Sports sources, Fedor Chalov, CSKA Moscow’s 21-year-old striker is on the wishlist of Brighton and Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, and Chelsea. Chalov has scored 6 goals in 27 appearances this season.

Fedor Chalov – a Move to the Premier League?

Fedor Chalov is currently a Russian international, plays as a striker and is valued at £14.40 million. His market value significantly rose after the summer transfer window of July 18 when he broke into CSKA Moscow’s first team.

Clubs Interests

Chelsea will be looking to finally bring in reinforcements as their transfer ban comes to an end. Fedor Chalov would most likely provide competition and backup to Tammy Abraham.

Brighton and Hove Albion are looking to bolster their attacking prowess and arm themselves for premier league football, looking to be more clinical up top with the addition of the prolific Russian. Brighton have currently relied on last minute and single goal leads to seal wins, and a move for a prolific striker would make sense.

Whilst Crystal Palace have retained their interest from last summer having a bid rejected for Fedor. The London club would be looking to add to their attacking options alongside Wilfried Zaha and improve their finishing prowess up top.

The Player’s Interests

He is currently playing for CSKA Moscow, a top side in the Russian Premier League. Fedor is a proven goalscorer in the Russian leagues, winning the top goalscorer in 18/19. His clinical presence in front of goal means he was in demand as a player in Europe.

Many players move to the English Premier League. Arguably, this is because it is the hardest league in the world. Thus, this allows them to prove their skill and work ethic at the highest level. Fedor Chalov would either benefit or risk losing value as a player depending on his performance and how he copes in the league.

However a move away from his boyhood club may cost playing time, and it may mean more hard work to get into the starting eleven of his new club.

Summary

Both Fedor Chalov and the club signing him would take a gamble of what would the outcome be. Depending on how Fedor copes with the intensity of the Premier League, and how well he would slot into his new club’s plans.
