Kylian Mbappe Remains Target For Real Madrid

Summer Target For Los Blancos

Real Madrid will do all they can to sign French forward Mpabbe this summer according to reports overseas. The Spanish outlet Sport claim that Zinedine Zidane will go all out to sign the France World Cup winner next summer.

Mbappe, 20, has been linked with a Paris Saint-Germain exit for a while; however, PSG did not receive an offer for his services amid speculation around the future of attacking compatriot Neymar.

The Brazillian winger had been linked with a return to Barcelona as well as a summer move to Real Madrid. However, Sport claim that Real Madrid opted against signing Neymar because they need funds to pursuit of Mbappe in 2020.

Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, during his recent spell with Monaco, kept a close eye on the progress of the talented Mbappe.

“He’s a phenomenon,” Fabregas said (via Goal.com). “He’s clearly going to be the best player in the world in the future.

“I always think like a midfielder and if I had him in front of me I’d be giving him assists all the time because he’s so fast, explosive, but he’s also very clever in slipping his markers.

“He has his timing down perfectly.

“[Thierry] Henry and Diego Costa were also brilliant at that. The thing that stands out about Mbappe is that he’s so hungry, he knows how to exploit his ability.”

Mbappe, also linked with a summer move to Liverpool, is expected to depart the Stade de France next year in seek of new challenges elsewhere in Europe.

In June, Mbappe hinted at a possible favouring towards the Merseysiders by praising the club and manager Jurgen Klopp.

In an interview with ESPN (via the Metro), the 20-year-old was asked ‘We play one game and we bet, who do you pick?’ to which he responded: “I play with Liverpool because they win the Champions League.

When then asked on his view of Reds boss Klopp, Mbappe said: “Yeah he’s good.”
