Transfer Rumours – Manchester United

According to James Ducker of The Telegraph, Manchester United are stepping up their interest in Tottenham‘s Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen has been a key figure at Tottenham for a number of seasons now. Last season he registered 10 goals and 15 assists in all competitions, including eight goals in the Premier League.

However, the 27-year-old has just one year left on his contract with Tottenham. As a result, Tottenham are looking to receive a fee instead of losing him on a free next summer.

Tottenham Challenging Arsenal for Coutinho?

As a result of Christian Eriksen’s potential exit from Tottenham, manager Mauricio Pochettino is looking for a replacement. Gary Jacob and Paul Hirst of The Times claim that they are looking to sign Philippe Coutinho on loan.

The Brazilian has been reportedly been unsettled since his move to Spain in 2018. However, last season he made 46 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight times.

Tottenham are not the only club looking to sign the ex-Liverpool star. According to Bilel Ghazi of L’Equipe, north London rivals Arsenal are also attempting to sign Coutinho.

Yet Another Centre-Back on Arsenal’s Radar

Arsenal’s quest for a new addition at centre-back has taken yet another turn. John Cross of the Daily Mirror writes that they are interested in Dayot Upamecano of RB Leipzig.

The 20-year-old is highly-regarded across Europe. Last season he made 19 appearances in all competitions, as Leipzig finished third in the Bundesliga.

The move is likely to be helped by the fact that Laurent Koscielny has left The Emirates to join Bordeaux. The Frenchman spent nine years with The Gunners.
