Traditionally, Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 38 sees a lot of rotation. Many teams have nothing left to play for so the youngsters get a chance to shine on the final day of the season. We have already seen Bournemouth hand a debut to 19-year old goalkeeper Mark Travers last week. This Sunday, only Liverpool and Manchester City have something to fight for. So, expect plenty of changes to the starting line-ups. A strong bench will help in that case.

Goals Galore

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 38 also sees a lot of goals scored. The level of intensity goes down a notch so mistakes are made. One can remember the last match of Sir Alex Fergusson which ended in a 5-5 draw against West Bromwich Albion. Last season, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City played out a nine-goal thriller. There is the potential of crazy scores like that in this gameweek as well. In fact, 32 goals were scored on the final day last season. So, one can safely expect plenty of goals this Sunday.

Manchester City travel to Brighton & Hove Albion knowing victory will ensure the Premier League crown for them. Pep Guardiola’s men have had to fight hard in recent weeks but a trip to the Amex Stadium does not seem that daunting. The Seagulls have secured their survival already but have struggled for most of the season, so picking up maximum points should be routine for City.

Liverpool are riding on a huge high after thrashing Barcelona 4-0 on Tuesday. One would expect them to win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield this week. That may not be enough though.

Burnley will fancy themselves against notoriously poor travellers Arsenal. However, the Gunners have a great record against the Clarets. Arsenal have won the last nine fixtures against Burnley, including three at Turf Moor. They do not need to care about this fixture though as they can not finish in the top four unless a mathematical miracle happens.

Leicester City could get a win against Chelsea, who should rest some players after the Europa League semi-final second leg. The Blues have already secured a top-four place so could take things easy.

Tottenham Hotspur will likely rest some players after that emotional roller coaster of the Ajax game. Everton have been decent in recent weeks and could cause some problems for Spurs.  Son Heung-min is suspended although Tottenham have lodged an appeal against the red card. Erik Lamela, Fernando Llorente, and Ben Davies could get starts.

Manchester United had their Champions League dreams shattered last week after a miserable performance at bottom club Huddersfield Town. How will they perform on their last home game of the season against already relegated Cardiff City?

Other Fixtures of Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 38

Crystal Palace will want to end the season with a win in front of their fans. Roy Hodgson does not rotate that much generally and their stars should start. Bournemouth could also profit if the match turns out to be end to end.

Southampton have an enticing home fixture against Huddersfield Town. Ralph Hasenhüttl made a few changes last week but could think about restoring Nathan Redmond and James Ward-Prowse to the starting line-up in a bid to end the season on a winning note at home.

Fulham and Watford will want to end the season with victories in front of their home fans. Watford have the FA Cup final to worry about so they might rest a few players. Newcastle United and West Ham United could do well if they take it seriously.
