Inter have the quality to challenge for the league title. They’re just facing many problems in their game.
The start of the season hasn’t been too bright for the Nerazzurri, kicking off their campaign with a 1-0 defeat away to Sassuolo. They controlled the game with 63% possession, but finding the net was difficult.
Their struggle didn’t stop there. They drew 2-2 to Torino at home after being 2-0 up at half-time. Spalletti was angered with the results and had to come up with something that can save his team urgently.
Even though Inter have been getting good results since their sour start to the season, their hopes for the league title could be fading away from their grasp.
Recently, Il Biscione were having trouble finding the net as their star-man and captain Mauro Icardi is recovering from an injury. Keita Balde has the responsibility to fill the striker position. It hasn’t been going very well for him.
Balde is yet to score a goal or give an assist and was only able to give one key pass. Rivals are boosting up the table. In, er however, are stuck behind the rest in the classification.
They might not be able to challenge the big teams with performances like this. Things can be changed from now until the end of the season. Spalletti would need to help push his team back up to the top.
Inter are expected to get back up and give it another go at the title, but it will be difficult and they need to prepare for the challenges ahead more than ever.
