Latest on Wayne Rooney and more

Paul Pogba to PSG?

Paris St-Germain are reportedly interested in the French midfielder and are weighing up a swap deal. The deal would be cash plus Italian international Marco Verratti. A move to Paris could interest Pogba after a tough time in the Premier League with Manchester United since his return from Juventus.

At this stage United are yet to indicate if they are willing to part with the midfielder. To add to the aforementioned, Marco Verratti was on the verge of signing a new deal with PSG. However, they would be tempted to part with Verratti if they could bring in Pogba.

Rooney close to DC move

Former England International Wayne Rooney has had a difficult time since rejoining Everton from Manchester United last summer. His move away from Goodison Park has been talked about for some time now and it looks like it could happen sooner rather than later.

Although no contract has yet been signed, MLS side DC United are in advanced talks with England’s record goalscorer. A two-year deal worth a reported £3.8 million a year is on the table for Rooney should he decide to move to USA. However, he cannot sign for DC until the US mid-season transfer window opens on July 10th.

Eden Hazard off to Real?

Reports in Spain are indicating that the Chelsea playmaker offered himself to the European Champions just days before their latest victory in the competition. With Chelsea missing out on the Champions League, Hazard has reportedly put contract negotiations on hold.

The 27-year-old has been linked with Madrid for some time and the player could now believe it is time to swap London for the Spanish capital. Hazard has been with Chelsea since 2012 and a good showing at the World Cup could convince Real to make their move.

Saints chase Paco Alcacer

Southampton are interested in the 24 year-old Barcelona striker. However, they could face interest from Fenerbahce. The Saints are willing to pay the Catalan side 20 million euros to seal the deal. Barcelona are willing to sell the forward but Alcacer is not keen on leaving at this stage. Until he sees his future elsewhere, a deal will be delayed.

The forward had the opportunity to leave the Camp Nou in January. Everton reportedly interested but he wanted to wait until the summer. A move is only likely to happen if it is beneficial to the player both professionally and financially.
