FTN: Latest on Godin, Mbappe, Lozano and Benatia Transfer News

On today’s edition, we will discuss, which defenders Juventus are tracking, where Kylian Mbappe could be off to, which club is chasing Mexican World Cup star Hirving Lozano and how Arsenal considering a move for a Bayern Munich player.

Juventus chasing defender

Serie A champions Juventus are tracking both Diego Godin of Atletico Madrid and Matthijs De Ligt of Ajax. The Turin giants are fearful of losing their 23-year-old centre back Daniele Rugani to Chelsea. The Italian side would rather Dutch international De Ligt, however, the Serie A side face stiff competition from Tottenham, Manchester City and Barcelona for the youngsters signature.

Mbappe tug of war

French international Kylian Mbappe is a target for both Manchester sides. The former Monaco man only signed for PSG last season, however, following financial fair play clampdowns, it is possible the attacking player may be sacrificed in order for PSG to avoid a potential transfer ban. As one of the hottest young talents in world football, Mbappe will have no shortage of takers. Manchester City have a greater financial pull than Manchester United. Mbappe would like to develop his game under Guardiola but Real Madrid are monitoring the situation. Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo was the French World Cup stars hero growing up.

Barcelona chase Lozano

Spanish giants FC Barcelona have approached representatives of Hirving Lozano. The Mexican has been one of the standout stars of the group stages of the World Cup so far. The PSV winger scored 19 goals last season to help his side win the Dutch League. Barcelona are a big step up from the likes of West Ham and Everton who were previously his most eager pursuers.

Arsenal eye Benatia

Arsenal have joined Real Madrid and Manchester City in the race for Medhi Benatia. The Moroccan has been knocked out of the World Cup already and is considering his options. The 29-year-old would like to test himself in England and new Arsenal manager Unai Emery is reportedly a big fan of the defender.
