Latest Oxford United Team and Injury News for Visit of Sheffield Wednesday

Oxford United have no new injury concerns ahead of their penultimate game of the season at home against Sheffield Wednesday.

Wednesday, who were relegated some time ago, still have several players missing for their trip to Grenoble Road.

Tyler Goodrham – Ankle

Tyler Goodrham has been ruled out for the rest of the season following surgery on his ankle.

Brian De Keersmaecker – Shoulder

Brian De Keersmaecker will also miss the rest of the season after undergoing an operation on his shoulder injury.

Przemyslaw Placheta – Hamstring

Another out for the season is winger, Przemyslaw Placheta. The Pole, who has been plagued with injuries in the second half of the campaign, picked up a hamstring injury in training last week.

Nik Prelec – Ankle

Forward Nik Prelec rolled his ankle in training but Matt Bloomfield hasn’t said how serious the setback could be.

Oxford’s Returning Players

Jack Currie – Ankle

Left-back Jack Currie has missed the last five games with an ankle injury and will need an operation in the summer but Bloomfield believes he could be in contention should he feel the need to bring him back in.

Sheffield Wednesday Injury News

Svante Ingelsson – Knee

Midfielder Svante Ingelsson is an injury doubt with a knee problem, but it could require surgery.

Ike Ugbo – Muscle

Canada forward Ike Ugbo is a doubt with a combination of a muscle injury and a selection dilemma, with his Owls future in doubt.

Di’Shon Bernard – Knee

Defender Di’Shon Bernard has missed over a year of action with a long-term knee problem which has required two rounds of surgery.

Ernie Weaver – Foot

Fellow defender Ernie Weaver has also been sidelined for some time with the academy graduate missing since October after having surgery on his foot.

Liam Cooper – Groin

Another defender out for the campaign is Liam Cooper. The experienced centre-back picked up a groin problem in February.

George Brown – Hamstring

Striker George Brown suffered a setback during his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury and will miss the final two games.

Guilherme Siqueira – ACL

Twenty-year-old full-back Guilherme Siqueira is also out for the campaign after suffering an ACL injury back in September.
