Wolves Predicted Lineup As Hosts Look To Bounce Back

How Wolves Have Lined Up Recently

Under Rob Edwards, Wolves have largely stuck with a back three formation that has improved defensive organisation, particularly at home, where they kept a clean sheet against West Ham. However, inconsistent attacking output remains a concern, with this season’s goal tally one of the lowest in the league.

Last time out in a 2-0 loss to Manchester City, José Sà started in goal behind a back three of Ladislav Krejčí, Yerson Mosquera, and Santiago Bueno. Hugo Bueno and Jackson Tchatchoua took up the wing-back positions with Mateus Mané, João Gomes, and André through the middle. Playing without a recognised striker Hwang Hee-chan and Jhon Arias headed the attack.

Wolves Recent Form And Tactics

The Wanderers’ last outing ended in a 2-0 defeat at Manchester City, where they struggled to retain possession and create chances but showed fight in patches. Their tactical focus remains on compact defending and quick transitions through wide outlets, a strategy that has delivered results sporadically but one they’ll lean on again at home.

With home form comparatively stronger and Bournemouth’s away struggles evident, with just the one win on the road, they could adopt a more ambitious posture, particularly early in the match.

Wolves Team News

With Strand Larsen’s future up in the air regarding a potential transfer to Crystal Palace, Edwards confirmed he is still with the club for the time being in the pre-match press conference:

“He’s trained and will be part of the squad tomorrow. That’s as much as I can say.”

He said the same thing about Sá, who has also been linked with a move away this transfer window. Ladislav Krejčí has been struggling with the flu and is unlikely to feature against Bournemouth. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has recovered from his injury and will be available for selection.
