Oxford United Welcome Birmingham

Team News, Form and Predicted Line-Up

Birmingham are unbeaten in their last four league games, which include a win over table-topping Coventry, and have lost just once in their last seven. However, the Blues have struggled on the road this season with just three wins from 15. It’s a different story at home having lost just once from 14, but Oxford will fancy their chances at Grenoble Road.

Jay Stansfield hit 19 goals last season as Birmingham romped to promotion from League One. The former Fulham man has hit eight goals in the Championship this season, with Marvin Ducksch having struck six from 20.

Will Lankshear remains Oxford’s top scorer, but it was fellow forward Mark Harris who netted the winner against Leicester with just his second goal of the season.

Oxford are still without Hidde ter Avest, Nik Prelec and Jamie Donley, with Tyler Goodrham out for the season. There could be a return for Polish duo Przemyslaw Placheta and Michal Helik.

The Blues are missing Alex Cochrane, Demarai Gray, Ethan Laird, Jack Robinson and Lee Buchanan for the trip.

Oxford lost when the sides met at St. Andrew’s earlier in the season and Birmingham recorded an infamous 7-1 victory on their last visit to Oxfordshire in 1998. In fact, the Blues are unbeaten on their last four visits.
