Oxford United Injury News
Hidde ter Avest – Hamstring
Full-back Hidde ter Avest remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. Fortunately for new head coach, Matt Bloomfield, he has Brodie Spencer and Sam Long available for selection.
Nik Prelec – Groin
Attacker Nik Prelec is still out with a groin injury. He is expected to be sidelined for another three to four weeks.
Tyler Goodrham – Ankle
Another attacker to miss the game will be Tyler Goodrham. The youngster remains out as a result of an ankle injury.
Przemyslaw Placheta – Calf
Winger Przemyslaw Placheta remains sidelined with a calf injury. The Pole was replaced at half-time during Oxford’s New Year’s Day defeat at Ipswich.
Ciaron Brown – Knock
Defender Ciaron Brown picked up an injury during a training session ahead of Oxford’s FA Cup win over MK Dons. It is unknown how long the Northern Ireland international will be sidelined but it is better than initially feared.
Jamie Donley – Concussion
New signing Jamie Donley made his debut against MK Dons but was replaced after just 17 minutes. The midfielder was replaced with concussion but also felt an impact in both his shoulder and ribs.
Oxford’s Returning Players
Cameron Brannagan, Ben Davies and Matt Phillips made a return in their FA Cup victory over MK Dons last time out.
Bristol City Injury News
Fally Mayulu – Hip
Striker Fally Mayulu has been absent with a hip injury he sustained during a 2-0 win over Middlesbrough last month.
Joe Williams – Ankle
Midfielder Joe Williams has struggled since picking up an ankle injury during the Robins’ Championship playoff semi-final defeat against Sheffield United. He made a brief return but has since picked up a subsequent injury.
Luke McNally – ACL
Former Oxford defender Luke McNally is still out with an ACL injury he sustained back in February. The 26-year-old has struggled with injuries since leaving Grenoble Road.
Mark Sykes – Hip
Another former U’s player, Mark Sykes remains sidelined with a hip injury. He should be back this month but a return to Oxford looks unlikely, although he did score in this fixture last season.
Max Bird – Calf
Max Bird is back in training but is someway off from a return to first-team action. He has only featured four times this season.
Bristol City Returning Players
Radek Vitek – Knee
On loan goalkeeper Radek Vitek could return for the trip to Grenoble Road. He picked up a knee injury against Coventry last month.
