Current Contender
David Ornstein’s latest indicates that he believes Liam Rosenior is a “contender” while also ruling out Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner. Rosenior used to manage in the EFL Championship but has been at the helm of sister club Strasbourg in Ligue 1 since last term. This would be in line with recent appointments as he does like to play with the ball and control it in games, similar to Maresca and previous BlueCo appointment Graham Potter.
Quick Turnaround
With matches coming thick and fast over the Winter period, Ornstein notes that the club want to make a decision pretty swiftly with the process expected to take a few days, likely meaning the Manchester City clash will have an interim coach in charge. This will be a crucial decision, particularly with Glasner being ruled out as he has won trophies with Crystal Palace, something that’s made him an attractive name in the current pool.
