Manager Phil Parkinson is dealing with a lot of issues with the wing-back spot in particular, currently being empty due to the absences of Liberato Cacace and Issa Kabore. A list from BeSoccer has a much longer injury list too for the coach to worry about.

The list has Cacade and Kabore unavailable as well as Elliott Lee, Lewis Brunt, Aaron James, first-choice goalkeeper at the start of the term Danny Ward, Andy Cannon, and Jay Rodriguez all out, with the latter three being long-term absentees.

There are no suspensions affecting the selection. The only absentee due to the African Cup of Nations is the aforementioned Kabore who is sidelined anyway.

They have drawn almost 50% of their matches, winning five and losing six. They are a side that’ll make it tough for anyone but tend to be too leaky at the back to put matches to bed.
