However, the hosts are also without a handful of players for this relegation battle at Ewood Park.

Matt Phillips – Thigh
Still no news, so still no updates, but Matt Phillips remains sidelined with his thigh injury.
Brodie Spencer – Foot
Closer to a return is defender, Brodie Spencer. However, the Northern Ireland international is still absent with his foot injury.
Cameron Brannagan – Calf
Skipper Cameron is also out injured and his absence is starting to be felt in the middle of the park. The U’s have struggled in midfield in recent weeks so his return will be key.
Przemyslaw Placheta – Calf
The latest player to suffer and injury is winger, Przemyslaw Placheta. The Pole missed the game at Swansea after picking up a calf strain and could miss the next two to three games.

Hayden Carter – Calf
Defender Hayden Carter has suffered further setbacks on his calf injury and remains sidelined.
Jake Garrett – Leg
Blackburn midfielder Jake Garrett suffered a torn left abductor tendon and hernia repair injury during pre-season.
Ryan Hedges – Injury
Versatile Welshman Ryan Hedges suffered an injury against Ipswich and missed the abandoned game against Sheffield Wednesday. He could be set for a return later this month.
Augustus Kargbo – Calf
Sierra Leone forward Augustus Kargbo picked up a knock during the international break and did make a return for Rovers from the bench but has since had further scans and been sidelined for longer as a precaution.
Kristi Montgomery – Ankle
Young Scottish midfielder Kristi Montgomery picked up an ankle knock last month and although he did make a brief return, remains absent.
Balasz Toth – Knee
Hungarian goalkeeper Balasz Toth faces a few months on the sidelines with a severe knee injury he picked up against Bristol City.
Scott Wharton – ACL
Defender Scott Wharton also suffered an injury at Ashton Gate and will have to wait until the new year before making a return to the pitch.
Sondre Tronstad – Ankle
Midfielder Sondre Tronstad will miss the next few weeks with an ankle injury. The 30-year-old picked up the problem in Rovers’ last win at Preston.
Adam Forshaw – Hamstring
Midfielder Adam Forshaw is likely to miss out after being forced with an apparent hamstring issue in Saturday’s abandoned game against Sheffield Wednesday.
