£78,000K Per Week International Set for Manchester United Exit - Rasmus Hojlund

£78K Per Week International Linked With Manchester United Exit

After years of dominance in the Premier League, Manchester United have endured a rapid decline, which saw them finish 15th last season, with a paltry 42 points. The club have made some eye-catching signings this summer, and it appears a more recent big-money signing could be leaving Old Trafford soon, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that AC Milan are interested in a deal for Danish international forward Rasmus Hojlund, who is said to earn £78,000 per week.

Recent Arrival Opens Door for Hojlund Exit

The Red Devils, under the tutelage of Ruben Amorim, will be eager to improve on a disastrous 2024/25 season. They have so far signed Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon, and more recently Benjamin Sesko.

It appears the arrival of Sesko has opened the door for Hojlund to leave. The Danish international was an unused substitute against Fiorentina, seemingly making it clear his future could lie away from Old Trafford.

Serie A giants AC Milan have reportedly started discussions through intermediaries for the Danish international. The deal would demand a £5.2 million loan fee, with a £39 million buy fee, which would represent a significant loss on the £72 million they paid Atlanta in 2023 for the forward. There has been no green light from Hojlund yet, with the Dane insisting he stays.

Benjamin Sesko

The signing of Sesko appears to have given the Old Trafford faithful a much-needed boost. It’s clear the club has several holes to fill, but the arrival of Sesko, alongside Mbeumo, has strengthened their attack.

Sesko has shown he knows where the goal is. When given the opportunity, he is composed in front of goal. The 22-year-old will provide a presence to a United attack that was severely lacking last season. He is adept at taking opponents on, while also showing good movement when leading the line.
