Manchester City Team News
Ederson starts in goal with a familiar back line of Matheus Nunes, Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol, and a less familiar Nico O’Reilly possibly as an inverting full-back. Nico Gonzalez and Ilkay Gundogan are in the defensive pivot while Savinho, Jeremy Doku, and Jack Grealish back up Omar Marmoush up front.
Oscar Bobb makes his return to the squad after a lengthy injury and is the standout name on the substitutes bench.
Notable Changes
There’s some big decisions throughout the lineup like the back four being a bit mishapen due to the absence of Abdukodir Khusanov who isn’t even among the substitutes. Vitor Reis can’t buy a start and doesn’t even get in with no other fit defenders one of O’Reilly or Gonzalez presumably drops to add to the defence.
No Haaland means Marmoush is up front but he is not going to be helped by veterans Kevin de Bruyne or Bernardo Silva as Grealish is starting with him and the less experienced Savinho.
