Ederson is in goal. Matheus Nunes at right back, Abdukodir Khusanov, Ruben Dias, and Josko Gvardiol round out the defence. Ilkay Gundogan partners Mateo Kovacic in defensive midfield with Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden, and Kevin de Bruyne as the attacking midfielder. Erling Haalang is up front as the lone striker.
Notable Changes
There’s a big change in the middle of the park with Nico Gonzalez not starting. The January signing from Porto has been capable of moving either as a lone defensive sitter or as part of a duo but he has made way for the interesting pairing of Kovacic and Gundogan.
De Bruyne in at the attacking midfield spot makes for a slightly older trio in the middle, something that could be explored by the Cherries if they can run at the midfield. The defense is as expected with Guardiola going for a tried and true back four of names who have proven to be useful in Nunes, Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol, backed up by Ederson.
