The arrival of Ruben Amorim in England threatened to shake up his new employers and so it has proved. One of the poster boys of Manchester United has been on the outskirts of his plan and is exploring a transfer. Marcus Rashford remains an outcast and is now on Aston Villa’s radar.

Aston Villa Ask About Deal for Marcus Rashford
Rashford Attracting Interest From Aston Villa
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Aston Villa are the latest club to ask about a deal for Marcus Rashford.
Villa recently released one of the most feared forwards in the Premier League. Their second striker, Jhon Durán, sealed a big money move that has taken him to Al Nassr. Having also allowed Emi Buendía to join Bayer Leverkusen on a loan deal, Villa could benefit from having an extra attacker.
This interest from the Midlands club arises as an iconic club could be pulling out of the race for his services. According to the Guardian, Rashford “had his heart set” on a switch to Barcelona. But Romano revealed that a transfer to the Catalonian club is “unlikely.” The constraints of Financial Fair Play would force the Blaugrana to let go of at least “one or two players” in order to balance their books.
At the moment, Barcelona are bankrolling new deals for the new blood in their squad. A change of scene for Rashford could do him good, but his needs do not suit the priorities of the Spanish side.

Why Is Rashford Out of Favour at Manchester United?
This saga seemed an improbable event at the start of Amorim’s stint in the dugout at Old Trafford.
Rashford scored the first goal of the manager’s reign in a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town, playing as the striker in his standard 3-4-2-1 system. In his next Premier League outing, the forward featured as one of the tens in this same formation and scored twice on the way to a four-goal win over Everton.
However, the 27-year-old was infamously not a part of the squad that won the Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium. He has not played again for the club since that contest in the middle of December.
Rashford is a player whose pace, dribbling, and finishing have been potent in the past. And Amorim has asserted that his qualities are not the reason for his absence. The BBC documented him saying: “We need goals, we need [players who can go] one against one, we need threat in the final third.”
It seems that his attitude has annoyed the manager, who is keen to live by his principles in all areas. Speaking about his standards for the squad at Carrington, Amorim added in his words to the press, “The situation is the same for every player. I will not put [in] a player that doesn’t give the maximum.”
