How Liverpool Have Lined-up Recently

Caoimhin Kelleher is the starting goalkeeper at current. Andy Robertson is the only fit left-back, whilst Jarell Quansah got a start at right-back in midweek; Trent Alexander-Arnold came off the bench. Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk are the preferred centre-back partnership with Ibrahima Konate out.

Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch start in central-midfield. Curtis Jones was the attacking midfielder against Newcastle United, though Dominik Szoboszlai is first-choice. Cody Gakpo is at left-wing in fine form, Mohamed Salah is on the right, and Darwin Nunez was striker last time out.

Liverpool Injuries and Absentees to Consider

Liverpool currently have several players out with injuries, including a few big misses.

Arne Slot has revealed that Alisson Becker “will be in goal before the end of December if things continue like they are”, though this is not a huge issue as Kelleher is generally performing well (aside from a freak mistake leading to Fabian Schar’s equaliser).

Conor Bradley and Konate will “both be out for a few weeks”, which is not ideal heading into a busy festive period.

Federico Chiesa played and scored for Liverpool U21s in his road to recovery. Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsimikas are both still out.

Mac Allister is suspended with five yellow cards.
