Liverpool Fans Receive Slightly Promising Injury Update For £180K P/W Star

Liverpool head into the November international break at the top of the Premier League table after a hard-fought win over Aston Villa. They lost defender Trent Alexander-Arnold to an injury in the match and have now discovered the extent of his issues.

A Positive Trent Alexander-Arnold Injury Update for Liverpool Fans

How Much Will Time Alexander-Arnold Be Out For?

The England international picked up an injury in the first half against the Villans and had to be taken off. Arne Slot gave a worrying update on him right after that game. However, it does not appear that the issue is as bad as initially feared.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that the full-back is going to be ruled out of action for a couple of weeks because of a hamstring injury. It’s stated that Slot’s smart decision-making in substituting Alexander-Arnold early in the game helped the defender avoid serious damage and potentially risk being out for a long-term period.

The Times’ Paul Joyce states that the Englishman has not been ruled out for Liverpool’s next Premier League match against Southampton on November 24 after the international break. It’s also indicated that the full-back is in contention to make a recovery before the big games against Real Madrid (in the UEFA Champions League) and Manchester City (in the Premier League) following the international window.

Alexander-Arnold Set To Miss England Matches

The downside to Alexander-Arnold’s latest injury is that it is going to keep him out of action for England’s upcoming UEFA Nations League matches during the international break. He was selected in Lee Carsley’s squad for his final two matches as interim head coach, but is probably going to be replaced with someone else because of this injury set-back.

Slot, however, will hope his reliable full-back makes a full recovery and can return to full fitness before the game against Southampton. Alexander-Arnold, who is rumoured to earn £180,000 a week in wages has made 15 appearances for the Reds so far this season and helped them keep eight clean sheets before the Aston Villa win.
