'Not Suffering': International Manager Gives Positive Update on Manchester United Star: Noussair Mazraoui

Manchester United will be hoping to turn their form around in the Premier League when they host Brentford on October 19 after the international break. However, they’re likely to be without summer signing Noussair Mazraoui, who appears to have sustained a scary issue recently.

Positive Noussair Mazraoui Update Issued By Walid Regragui

What Happened to Mazraoui In Aston Villa Clash?

A lot of the Red Devils’ supporters were surprised to see Mazraoui be taken off at half-time in the recent 0-0 draw against Aston Villa and were scared about another injury. However, it was later reported that the Morrocan defender had actually complained of heart palpitations. The defender had to undergo a minor heart procedure to fix the issue, but his condition is claimed to be relatively common and not one to significantly impact his career.

Now, the Morocco national team head coach Walid Regragui has given an update on his situation as he stated: “Noussair Mazraoui is not suffering from a dangerous illness. We hope he will be with us in the next camp in November.” It appears that Mazraoui will probably be out of action for a few weeks and could return to action in November for Erik ten Hag’s side.

Who Can Replace Mazraoui at Manchester United?

The Moroccan defender appears to be set to miss at least a few of the Red Devils’ upcoming matches after the October international break. Of course, the natural replacement for him in the right-back position is Diogo Dalot, who excelled in that role last season. However, if the Portuguese defender is forced to play as a left-back in the absence of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, who are still trying to regain match fitness, then Ten Hag might have to use a centre-back in that role instead.

The likes of Victor Lindelof or Matthijs de Ligt can be shifted in as a makeshift right-back if required. The former was used in that position in the second half against Aston Villa. Ten Hag, however, will hope that Mazraoui can get back to action quickly after helping the Red Devils keep four clean sheets in seven Premier League games so far this season.
