Chelsea Team News

Robert Sanchez starts in goals behind a back four of Malo Gusto, Wesley Fofana, Levi Colwill, and Marc Cucurella. This is a familiar defensive line with an even more familiar pivot of Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez. Nicolas Jackson is the striker in form with Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, and Jadon Sancho supporting him as the attacking trio in behind.

Filip Jorgensen returns to the bench alongside Axel Disasi, Tosin Adarabioyo, Renato Veiga, the returning Romeo Lavia, Pedo Neto, Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix, and Christopher Nkunku.

Chelsea Lineup: Sanches, Cucurella, Colwill, Fofana, Gusto, Caicedo, Fernandez, Palmer, Madueke, Sancho, Jackson

Notable Changes

Unsurprisingly, the manager has overhauled the starters following a midweek tie against League 2 opposition. The changes were expected with the lineup resembling the usual Premier League starters with only Gusto keeping his place after making his return from injury in the cup and getting some minutes into his legs.

There is no room on the bench for recent starters Benoit Badiashile, Cesare Casadei or Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who are all left out of the squad.
