Three Liverpool Players To Transfer In For FPL Gameweek 37: Including ‘Unstoppable Machine’

Liverpool players huddled before a match

Just two gameweeks are remaining in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), allowing managers to take risky punts without long-term consequences. Whilst Liverpool are not one of the six teams that double in Gameweek 37 (GW37), there are still some good options to consider – especially for those on a wildcard.

Three Best Liverpool Options for FPL Gameweek 37

1. Mohamed Salah

Is Mohamed Salah back on form? And is it too late for Liverpool?

Likely yes and yes. Before GW36, the Egyptian had just one return in his last four league starts (a penalty) and had started on the bench for two out of the previous three outings.

However, six shots, a goal, an assist, and three chances created against Tottenham Hotspur suggest that he’s back to his involved, clinical self (though he did miss one “big chance”). He even registered a second assist in the FPL game as his shot saved by Guglielmo Vicario rebounded to Andy Robertson.

Liverpool play Aston Villa in GW37 who conceded two in 45 minutes against Chelsea, four against Olympiacos, and even conceded to low-performing Brighton. The Seagulls scored just five in the 12 matches prior to this.

Despite his recent form, the attacker is still a great pick, though a £13.4 million price tag may put buyers off.

2. Ibrahima Konate – Gameweek 37 Differential

Whilst Villa scored two against Chelsea and Olympiacos, one was an own-goal and one went down as an “error leading to goal” by goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis.

When facing a Brighton side that had just conceded three against Bournemouth and four against Manchester City, the Villans produced an expected goals of just 0.05. They managed just one shot past the sixth minute, which was taken from 30 yards.

It is not unlikely that Ibrahima Konate could score clean sheet points, particularly with Unai Emery’s side playing on Thursday in a make-or-break second-leg against Olympiacos. The opposition will be tired and potentially disheartened.

The Frenchman is not a bad asset to own for Gameweek 38 either, as Wolves will have nothing to play for and it will be Jurgen Klopp’s last-ever Liverpool match – at Anfield as well. At £4.9 million, he is much cheaper than the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, and Virgil van Dijk.

3. Cody Gakpo

Cody Gakpo has improved vastly on his earlier performances in the season. The Dutchman hauled an impressive 12 points against Tottenham Hotspur with a goal and an assist.

Playing centrally in a front-three, Gakpo drops deeper than Darwin Nunez does. This has contributed to Liverpool’s better performances, importantly creating chances for his wingers in a season where the midfield has struggled.

There is a slight rotation risk though, with Nunez able to play as the nine also. Reassuringly, the number 18 has started four out of the last five and is capable of playing on the wing also.
