Arsenal Predicted Lineup vs Luton Town

How Arsenal Have Lined up Recently

The Gunners have used a largely unchanged squad for the majority of the games since the turn of the new year.

Jakub Kiwior has slotted in admirably at left-back for the North Londoners over the last few months after injuries to Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu. David Raya, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba have formed a formidable partnership that has made Arsenal the best defensive team in the league.

Club captain Martin Odegaard and record signing Declan Rice have started every game in midfield this season when available. They have been accompanied by Jorginho and the veteran has produced strong performances. Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka have played on the wings in most games.

A recent injury to Martinelli meant that Havertz shifted out wide to occupy the left flank, while a returning Gabriel Jesus started through the middle against his former club Manchester City.

Arsenal Recent Form and Tactics

Arsenal have been nearly perfect in the league in 2024. They are on a 9-game unbeaten run with the game against the reigning champions the only won where they dropped points. The Gunners are also in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League after more than a decade, after securing a win against Porto last month.

Arteta has stuck with a 4-3-3 formation this season which sees the full-backs invert into the midfield while in possession. No matter the personnel, the Spanish manager prefers to play this style of football which allows for an extra player in midfield alongside Rice.

When Jorginho comes into the side, Rice is given license to roam further up the field. When Jesus plays as the striker, he allows the wide players to cut in and attack the opposition goal, while Havertz plays more as a target-man for the Gunners.

Arsenal Injuries to Consider

Arteta will have a full squad at his disposal, barring Jurrien Timber, as we head into the business end of the season. Fabrizio Romano has however stated that the Dutchman is not far off from a return and is expected to play this season.
