The Italian journalist adds that there is interest in the Brazilian winger from Saudi Arabia and England. He reports: “My information is that Raphinha could be one of the players targeted by clubs in the summer…and at some point, Barca will have to sell some players because of Financial Fair Play. Saudi interest was there already last summer, but from England too”

The 27-year-old joined the Catalan club from Leeds United in the summer of 2022 after helping the English side avoid relegation in the season prior. Since then, he has made 55 appearances for Barcelona in the Spanish league and has scored 11 goals for them.

Arsenal Wanted to Sign Him in 2022

Before his move to Spain, there was a lot of speculation regarding his next destination. Arsenal and Chelsea were clubs heavily interested in signing the forward before he chose to sign with Barcelona.

However, with the La Liga side in desperate need of funds, the Gunners could pounce on the situation to sign him as a backup to Bukayo Saka on the right wing. The Brazilian contingent in North London could also prove to be a deciding factor if transfer talks were to take place.

Romano states that for the time being there is only speculation but things could change in the summer: “Still, no decision has been made on Raphinha just yet, but let’s see what happens as interest is there and some sales will be needed.”

This could be a transfer saga to keep an eye on once the season ends and would be a fantastic buy for the Gunners as they aim to compete for multiple trophies in the coming years.
