According to the report, it will not be an easy operation for Eddie Howes’ side due to Villa’s asking price. The St. James’ Park-based side will have to sell players in order to raise funds if they want to bring in the England U-21 international. Bayern and Spurs have also made their interest in the player very clear, according to Ornstein. The interested clubs will have to shell out more than £50 million if they want to have a chance at landing the talented youngster.

Who is Jacob Ramsey and What are His Strengths?

The 22-year-old was a key part of Villa’s midfield for a long spell, but Emery’s high-flying Villa have – at times – preferred a combination of John McGinn and David Luiz in central midfield. Ramsey is primarily an attacking midfielder but he can also deputise in attack owing to his diverse skill set. The Villa academy product is a very intelligent footballer who possesses the ability to find space with smart movement regularly.

Ramsey is a strong carrier of the ball, helping his team quickly progress up the field. His ability to find space and make perfectly timed runs combined with his finishing ability make him a serious goal threat from midfield. At a very young age, he has high-level Premier League experience, which bodes well for his future. Last season, he scored six goals and provided seven assists, helping Villa reach a seventh-placed finish.
