The update from Romano confirms “discussions (are) ongoing” between Arsenal and Odegaard over a new long-term contract. He confirms Odegaard could be the “next top player” for the Gunners to commit his future to the club after recent extensions with William Saliba, Gabriel, Bukayo Saka, Aaron Ramsdale, Gabriel Martinelli and Reiss Nelson.

The news of a possible new contract for the midfielder will please all connected to Arsenal.
