The former Ajax man is a product of the highly esteemed Ajax youth academy. At 6’3″ he is physically dominant but has also been described as “technically brilliant” by ESPN’s Tor-Kristian Karlsen. The 21-year-old has quick feet and is excellent at progressing the ball upfield from deep. He usually plays in a midfield double pivot as a box-to-box midfielder, which should make him an ideal partner for new signings Alexis Mac Allister and Waturo Endo.
