Kepa Arrizabalaga Gets a Second Chance
The stars aligned for both parties as Thibaut Courtois suffered an unfortunate ACL injury ruling him out for most of the upcoming campaign. With Robert Sanchez joining Chelsea, it seemed like Kepa’s time at Stamford Bridge was all but done.
The £72 million man became used to playing second fiddle as he was replaced by Edouard Mendy for a period of time in West London. It seemed as though he was set to drop back down the pecking order as Sanchez started Chelsea’s opening game of the season when they hosted Liverpool.
There are no doubts he will be the European giant’s number one now in the absence of the veteran Belgian.
