‘Agreement Reached’: Man Utd Now Set to Complete Yet Another Signing as Transfer Window Gets Even Better

Manchester United- Antony Faces Extended Leave of Absence

Fabrizio Romano has dropped an announcement that has surely brought relief to many Manchester United fans. He stated that there was an “agreement reached” with Serie A club Atalanta that will see forward Rasmus Hojlund move to the Premier League side.

The package deal for the player will run United in the area of £64 million, with £8 million in add-ons making the number even larger.

This comes as yet another signing after the Red Devils secured the acquisitions of Mason Mount and Andre Onana earlier in the transfer window, turning this off-season into one of their most efficient and successful in recent memory.

Manchester United Reach Agreement for Rasmus Hojlund

Danish Striker Wanted the Move And Is Set to Be a Long-Term Investment

Hojlund has reportedly expressed his intent to play for the Manchester club with United being cited as his “desired” destination in reports last week. Upon completion of medical exams and other paperwork to be filed for the transfer, one of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas will finally be at a close.

In a separate tweet sent out by Romano, the Italian stated that the young Dane’s contract with the Red Devils would run until the summer of 2028, with the option of an additional year with the club. Such a long, and likely expensive contract, shows the amount of confidence that coach Erik ten Hag has in his new signing.

Heavy Expectations Doled Out

A price tag as large as £72 million places a great deal of expectation on this move. At only 20 years old, Hojlund faces a steep learning curve, having garnered just one year of experience at the top level. Nonetheless, United remain optimistic that the young striker will effectively adapt and embrace the daunting challenge of spearheading their frontline in what looks set to be a fiercely competitive Premier League season.
