Anthony Elanga Set for Nottingham Forest Medical

Anthony Elanga Could Grow To Be A Club Star

Forest finished 16th in the Premier League last season, only two spots and four points above the final relegation place. For a more comfortable time of it next season, it is imperative that their squad is strengthened over the summer.

Elanga, at only 21 years of age, has his best football ahead of him. He represents the Swedish national team and has credible experience playing with United. His move to Forest could jumpstart a promising career should he make a name for himself by keeping them in the Premier League for years to come.

Other Offers Rejected By Elanga

The Tricky Trees were not the only party interested in the young winger. Everton were linked to Elanga, who is leaving United to get more playing time, but the player had worried about coach Sean Dyche’s tactics.

Game time, and a critical role for his new team, were crucial in Elanga’s list of priorities for his new club. He made only five Premier League starts this past season and is seemingly seen as expendable by coach Erik ten Hag.

Where Anthony Elanga Fits Into Nottingham Forest

Elanga is capable of playing all across the front line but is known especially as a winger. Forest already have a talented young forward in Brennan Johnson, and while he could potentially form a formidable partnership with Elanga, his future may not lie at the City Ground.

Johnson is currently being linked with a move to Aston Villa, and while this deal is not yet overly advanced, and Elanga himself has not been confirmed as a Forest player, it seems increasingly likely that the Swede take Johnson’s place in the coming season.
