De Gea Looks Destined to Leave Old Trafford
The report from The Athletic has sensationally revealed that De Gea has signed his contract extension with Manchester United. The Spaniard agreed to a wage reduction from his current £375,000 per week wages, which seemed to insinuate De Gea would extend his Old Trafford stay. However, United performed a U-turn and backed out of the agreed proposal, and did not sign the contract. The Spanish international goalkeeper has now been offered new terms, with a lower salary than the originally agreed offer. His current deal is set to expire on June 30, which would make the Red Devils goalkeeper a free agent.

The latest offer to De Gea has not been accepted by the Spaniard, who wants to continue playing at the highest level possible. Sheldon and Rai further reveal that the long-serving goalkeeper is considering his options, which includes interest in last season’s Golden Glove winner from Saudi Arabia.
