Treble-Winners Manchester City Set to Bid on Declan Rice

What a Bid Means for the Parties Involved

Seeing that the Hammers have rejected the £90 million bid from the Gunners, the logical conclusion is that the Premier League champions will have to fork over a fee that hits triple figures. If accepted, the 24-year-old will be reinforcing a squad that has already proved that they can excel in every competition that the footballing world can throw at them. Pep Guardiola would certainly be thrilled to deepen his squad with a player described as world-class by Alan Smith.

As for Rice himself, he should be thrilled that the two best teams in the top-flight division are heavily interested in his talents. Joining the likes of City means that he has the chance of achieving every major trophy that the footballing world has to offer. However, playing for the 2nd-place team will most likely equate to more playing time. Either way, having your pick between two elite clubs would be favorable for any footballer.

However, he will likely have more playing time if he joins the North London side. Either way, having your pick between two of the largest clubs in the world should have the right-footed player licking his lips.

The Situation for Arsenal

Losing their top target to their domestic rivals would be the absolute worst-case scenario for Mikel Arteta. This presents an interesting question: should Arsenal put all their finances towards one singular player or should they buy multiple players like Romeo Lavia and other talents?

One thing is for certain though, This deal could potentially be the biggest in the entirety of the summer transfer window.
