New Tottenham Hotspur Manager ‘Close’ to Being Appointed: Contract Talks Finalizing

Ange Postecoglou has emerged as the leading candidate for the next Tottenham Hotspur manager role, with the club eager to get themselves back on track.

Tottenham Hotspur haven’t recovered since sacking Antonio Conte in March. Under the direction of interim coaches Christian Stellini and Ryan Mason, they failed to qualify for Europen for the first time in 13 years.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Postecoglou is scheduled to meet within the next few days to finalize contract agreements between the two parties: cementing his place as head coach next season.

The Relationship Between Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham’s Hierarchy

Compared to Fulham manager Marco Silva and former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique, the Scottish Premiership title-winner is currently in ‘pole position’ between the three of them within Spurs’ managerial shortlist. A Winning Philosophy

After winning two trophies last year, Celtic have improved upon their success, finishing their domestic campaign with a treble. In addition to this, they were only defeated by Rangers once across the five games played featuring the two teams; this is an impressive feat considering the superior quality that both teams have over the rest of the other teams in their league.

Silverware, and success against in-league rivals: two things that have recently haunted fans of the 8th-place team in England’s top-flight division. Although Postecoglou does not have any experience within Europe’s top five leagues on his resume, his effectiveness against competition and his ‘Positive and Intense’ style of coaching are likely some of the main reasons that he has distinguished himself amongst his peers. Although fans have publicly stated their negative opinions about the subject, it seems that Postecoglou’s hiring is coming more and more to fruition.
