‘Will Listen to Offers’: New Details Emerge on Manchester United Star’s Future After Grim Newcastle Loss

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Manchester United will reportedly “listen to offers” for right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer despite his positive performances of late, according to Laurie Whitwell and David Ornstein of The Athletic. The Englishman has impressed since the World Cup break with some top-notch games but is reportedly still not at the forefront of manager Erik ten Hag’s plans, and could see himself depart Old Trafford within the next few months.

The report also states that fellow right-back Diogo Dalot remains in talks with the club over extending his current contract which expires in June 2024 after the Red Devils triggered a one-year extension clause earlier this campaign.

Good Form Not Good Enough for Aaron Wan-Bissaka

It seems that Wan-Bissaka’s recent good form has not been good enough to entirely save his Manchester United career.

The former Crystal Palace star has impressed immensely in recent months, but this has reportedly not been enough to convince Ten Hag that he is the man to start at right-back in the Dutch boss’s new-look United side.

Ten Hag is known to like utilising attacking wing-backs. He’s been pleased by what he’s seen from Luke Shaw linking up with Marcus Rashford down the left-hand side to the extent that Shaw is now set to receive a new 4-year contract to reward him for his fine play.

Down the other flank, though, it’s not been so simple. Both Dalot and Wan-Bissaka have been given ample time to make an impression during this campaign, and it seems that the former may have come out on top. He is currently in negotiations over a new contract at Old Trafford, while Wan-Bissaka’s future on the Red side of Manchester is still very much up in the air.
