Jack Harrison is in the Leeds United predicted lineup

Javi Gracia’s arrival at Elland Road has seen Leeds United pick up plenty of points to stay fighting in the relegation battle, but a trip to the Emirates could cause problems – especially with a raft of injuries. How Leeds United Have Lined-up Recently

In recent weeks, Javi Gracia’s side has lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation in possession that transitions into a 4-2-2-2 when defending. Illan Meslier starts in goal with Max Wober and Robin Koch typically the first choices at centre-back. Junior Firpo and Luke Ayling are responsible for bombing up and down the pitch as wing-backs. Marc Roca and Tyler Adams usually protect the back line as screening midfielders.

On the wings, Jack Harrison is a staple, whether playing out on the right or left flank. Opposite him is youngster Willy Gnonto, with Brenden Aaronson in the middle supporting a centre-forward, typically Patrick Bamford. Out of possession, the American will push up and join the striker in a high press.

Leeds United’s Attacking Options

The Whites are starting to have more reliable options available at centre-forward with the signing of Georginio Rutter and Rodrigo’s return from injury. This could be a serious issue for the manager, who has two club-record signings to manage in addition to the goalscoring potential of Patrick Bamford.

Throughout this season Rodrigo has proven himself to be the best of the available options. His goalscoring prowess was emphasised even further with a classy finish to put the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers to bed. With 0.5 goals per 90 over the past year, the Spaniard surely makes the first team if he is fit enough to start.

Leeds United Injuries to Consider

Javi Gracia has a couple of injuries to deal with when choosing his side for the weekend, which he set out in his press conference. Willy Gnonto received a foot injury at the weekend that forced him off against Malta, whilst Max Wober is suffering from a minor injury. Tyler Adams is likely to miss the rest of the season. However, Luis Sinisterra is finally returning to full fitness, with the majority of the squad being in good condition.
