Marquinhos

The Brazilian youngster made a deadline day move to Norwich City. After a brief spell on the sidelines with a muscle injury, the forward made his debut for the Canaries against Cardiff City and he did not disappoint. He set up fellow countryman Gabriel Sara before slotting home himself, capping off an impressive debut with the Championship side.

The Yellows are currently a point off the Championship playoff places. They will be hoping for more of the same from the 19-year-old as they aim to gain promotion to the Premier League.

Albert Sambi Lokonga

Lokonga made his second consecutive start in Crystal Palace colours against Liverpool at Selhurst Park. The Belgian played the full 90 minutes for the first time in the Premier League since September of last year. He showed flashes of brilliance as the Eagles earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw against the Reds.

Folarin Balogun

Elsewhere in France, Balogun is in the midst of an impressive season. Despite not scoring in Reims’ latest victory over Toulouse, the 21-year-old is near the top of the Ligue 1 scoring charts with 15 goals in 24 league appearances for the French club. This tally is only bettered by Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe. The youngster’s exploits might present Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta some headaches as the new season comes around.

Nuno Tavares

Tavares showed his versatility by starting as a right-wing back for Marseille against PSG but could do nothing about Mbappe and Lionel Messi running riot as the visitors eased to a 3-0 win. The Portuguese defender is however enjoying a good run of form, having already scored six goals this season for Les Olympiens.

Other Loanees

Ainsley Maitland-Niles made his 100th Premier League appearance as Southampton suffered defeat at the hands of relegation rivals, Leeds United. Cedric Soares started in Fulham’s FA Cup victory over Leeds midweek.
