How Leeds United Have Lined-up Recently

Leeds United have a relatively consistent lineup. The club plays in a 4-2-3-1, with Illan Meslier in goal protected by centre-backs Max Wober and Robin Koch. Pascal Struijk plays at left-back with Luke Ayling on the right. Tyler Adams and Marc Roca play in front of the back line.

The line of three in front of two sitting midfielders includes Brenden Aaronson on the right, with Jack Harrison and Wilfried Gnonto rotating between the centre and the left. Rodrigo typically plays as a centre-forward, but is currently struggling with an injury.

Leeds United Attacking Selection Issues

Jesse Marsch currently has an issue within his squad, being a significant amount of attacking depth. Admittedly a nice problem to have, but there are more players than there is space in the squad. Wilfried Gnonto has staked a claim to a spot in the side in past weeks, with Jack Harrison and Brenden Aaronson also near-permanent fixtures in the side.

However, Luis Sinisterra is patiently waiting in the wings to seize a position in the lineup. Rodrigo’s injury could be a blessing for Patrick Bamford, but Georginio Rutter is also waiting in the wings. Picking the right Leeds United lineup is getting more and more difficult with the growth in depth.

Leeds United Injuries to Consider

The biggest issue for the club is Rodrigo being out, with the Spaniard on top form until this point. Robin Koch is suspended for accruing yellow cards, with no confirmation on whether Crysencio Summerville is available for selection.

Thorp Arch has seen a series of returns too, with Archie Gray almost back in training, Liam Cooper coming back and Tyler Adams being available after a knock. Stuart Dallas is still missing.
