David Ornstein: Manchester United Target in Talks to Join Another Premier League Side

Sasa Kalajdzic

The Austrian striker is being considered as a potential alternative to Raul Jimenez and Hwang Hee-chan.

Ornstein also adds that the 25-year-old striker is speaking with the Premier League club to discuss his personal terms and what his salary will be at the club. However, there is still no agreement between the two sides over a deal and Wolves are yet to table any formal offer for the striker either.

Stuttgart are reportedly asking for a fee of around £21.2 million to let go of the 6’7 gigantic striker, who has scored 36 goals in his career. But the English side are still quite some distance apart from matching valuation for the Austrian, as they continue to talk in hopes of reaching a common ground for the forward.

Kalajdzic has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga club all through the summer. He has also been linked with Manchester United and was reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford – but the Red Devils are yet to go through with making an offer for him.

Wolves’ Summer Transfer Window So Far

Wolves have been forced to start their Premier League season without a natural striker after sending Fabio Silva on loan at Anderlecht and Raul Jimenez sustaining an injury in pre-season. When it comes to their summer transfer business, they have moved at a steady pace.

Bruno Lage’s side have made four signings so far this summer, including making Hwang Hee-chan’s loan deal into a permanent move over from RB Leipzig. Wolves have also signed ex-Burnley defender Nathan Collins to bolster their backline after offloading Conor Coady to Everton.

They added even more Portuguese blood to their squad by signing forward Goncalo Guedes from Valencia and Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes. But Wolves’ summer business is not done yet as they keep on their search for a new striker – with Kalajdzic one of the multiple options being explored.
