‘He Has Decided to Leave’: Spanish Giants’ Manager Issues Massive Update on Manchester United Target

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has issued an enormous update on the Casemiro to Manchester United situation. The veteran boss said that the Brazilian “has decided to leave Real Madrid”, and that the club understand his decision.

Manchester United Will Finally Have a Defensive Midfielder

Manchester United’s midfield is in desperate need of a refresh, and their nightmare start to the season has only highlighted this. They have had to rely once again on a pivot of Scott McTominay and Fred, affectionately (or not) known as McFred, this campaign, but the duo has seen no success at all.

New manager Erik ten Hag also tried Christian Eriksen as a number six, but that didn’t work either, and as such they have been left with quite the midfield conundrum. Casemiro would fix all of this, though, being an out and out central defensive midfielder – and one of the world’s best at that.

The Red Devils’ midfield is severely short-staffed currently as well, with just McTominay, Fred, Donny van de Beek, and James Garner as their four natural options there.

Van de Beek has never fully adapted to the Premier League, while Garner doesn’t even have a career start in the division. Alongside the poor, out of form duo of McTominay and Fred, this leaves fans despairing over what their options in the middle of the park will be.

The addition of Casemiro would be absolutely huge, freeing up the likes of Fred to take up more advanced positions while he sits back and guards the defence.

While the deal could be completed soon, he cannot now be registered in time for United’s game against Liverpool on Monday, as that would have had to have happened by midday on Friday.
