The Inter Milan centre-back chase continues as the Milanese giants are approaching two players in the position. First, Inter recently met with Torino to discuss Gleison Bremer, a player the club has been interested in for quite a while. Inter have an agreement with Bremer regarding personal terms, but have not yet agreed to a transfer fee with Torino, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Inter Milan Centre-Back Transfer Saga Drags On
Two Solid Options
First off, Bremer is an excellent option. The Brazlian, in fact, was named Serie A’s top defender for the 2021/22 season. Inter fell short of repeating as champions while their main rivals AC Milan lifted the crown. It’s no surprise that Inter are looking to bolster the squad after that. They’ve already brought in plenty of talent and are looking for more.

Inter’s main centre-back core includes the likes of Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, and Alessandro Bastoni. These are all very talented players, although Skriniar has seen his name pop up in other transfer rumours. Defence has been Inter’s bread and butter of the past. The attack is fully reloaded with Romelu Lukaku’s return, so now the club is prioritizing another position.
Zagadou is another solid option. His appearances for Dortmund haven’t been consistent, but he’s been a member of the squad for a few seasons now. Before Dortmund, Zagadou flourished in the Paris Saint-Germain youth sector. He’s still just 23 years old.
