Manchester United are seeking to sell three first-team players in Anthony Martial, Eric Bailly and Phil Jones before the start of the new Premier League season, reports BBC Sport’s Simon Stone.
The Red Devils are yet to make a single signing in the summer window but are hoping to sell some of their fringe players soon/

United Hoping to Receive Acceptable Bids for Unwanted Players
United have decided that they will cash in on Martial if they receive an acceptable offer from any club in the summer. But they are also being realistic and accept the fact that might just not happen after the French forward failed to impress in his loan spell at Sevilla in the second half of last season.
The Red Devils are also looking to trim down their defensive line ahead of next season. Eric Bailly has been told he has no meaningful role in the team for next season and will not be preferred ahead of the likes of Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane or Victor Lindelof.

Moreover, with the Manchester giants also likely to sign a new centre-back. Bailly will not receive enough playing time and will be let go for a decent-enough offer. Phil Jones is another defender who has no clear future at Old Trafford and will be sold after only making two Premier League appearances in the last two seasons.

Red Devils Eager to Offload
The Red Devils have finally realized that players like Martial, Bailly or Jones won’t be able to play major roles in helping them challenge for top honours anymore. The French forward, once labelled as ‘the Old Trafford Pele‘ by owner Joel Glazer, scored one goal in 12 appearances in his Sevilla loan and hinted earlier this year that he’d like to move on.
Bailly has been so injury-prone at United that he’s never been in contention to be a regular. The 28-year-old has made 113 appearances in the last six seasons for the Red Devils, a dire figure for a centre-back. Jones has had even worse luck with injuries, restricting him to a handful of appearances in the last few years.

Erik ten Hag has promised to get the best out of whatever he has at Old Trafford, but even he’d like to sell players who have already downed tools. The Red Devils will hope to generate some money from the sales of these three players in the summer and add that to their summer budget.
