The Bayern Munich striker is set to leave Germany this summer and according to James Olley of ESPN, Tuchel has urged the Blues to enter the running for the Poland international if there is any chance that a deal can be done.
However, Chelsea will face stiff competition for Lewandowski’s signature with the likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain interested.

Chelsea Want Lewandowski to Replace Romelu Lukaku
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants Lewandowski to replace Romelu Lukaku who looks increasingly likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. The Belgium international has had a difficult season since returning from Inter Milan last summer for £97.5 million. In 44 games he scored 15 goals and registered just two assists.
Italian giants Inter now want Lukaku to return and according to Fabrizio Romano, they are currently negotiating a loan deal with Chelsea following their opening offer of a £5 million loan fee being rejected.
Chelsea Face Tough Opposition For Striker With Barcelona Currently Front Runners
Should Chelsea enter the race to sign Lewandowski, they face tough opposition. Barcelona are preparing to make a bid with PSG waiting should any deal fall through. It is believed that the striker wants to move to Spain with Barcelona being his destination of choice.

One of the Best in the Business
Robert Lewandowski is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the business having consistently been one of Europe’s top scorers for many seasons. It has led to Bayern fans calling him a “goal monster“. His statistics across the seasons suggest they aren’t wrong.
His career so far has seen him play 745 games, scoring a staggering 540 goals in all competitions. Over the past seven seasons for Bayern Munich, the legendary striker has scored more than 40 goals in each campaign. During the 2019/20 season, he hit 55 goals, last season, he scored another 50 in 46 games.
On the international stage, Lewandowski is also a feared striker. In 132 games for Poland, he has scored 76 goals making him their all-time top scorer. The previous record was 48.
