Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez has revealed that he wants to remain at the club amid interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur. Although Inter lost the Serie A crown to AC Milan this past season, Martinez continued his growth and upward trajectory. He’s looking more and more like the future of the club, especially after Romelu Lukaku departed last summer.

Martinez Could Be the Future of Inter or Move Elsewhere
Major English clubs such as Chelsea and Tottenham are being linked to Martinez. With that being said, the striker is showing his desire to stay with Inter.
“My plan is clear: I really want to stay at Inter next season,” Martinez said in quotes reported by Fabrizio Romano. “I’ve not received communications from the club as of today, I want to continue at Inter next season.”
The last part of the quote sparks some concern. Martinez mentions that he hasn’t received any communications from the club. Inter must get on top of this, as they just lost one of their star wingers, Ivan Perisic, to Tottenham.
Martinez is just 24-years-old, and turns 25 right before next season. He holds three major trophies to his name with Inter – one Serie A title, one Coppa Italia, and one Italian Super Cup. It’s safe to say his journey with Inter has been rather successful thus far.
This past season, the Argentine international scored 21 goals and provided 3 assists in 35 matches. The season prior, he scored 17 goals and assisted 10 times in 38 matches. Clearly, the striker contributes to goals in a variety of ways. Inter’s other primary striking option, Edin Dzeko, is also ageing as he’s now 36-years-old, meaning Martinez is both the present and future of the club.
In addition, Inter look to be hot on the trail of pursuing Juventus star forward Paulo Dybala. He’ll be available on a free transfer at the end of this month, and it makes plenty of sense for Inter to pair up two Argentine stars in their attack.
