Premier League Winning Midfielder Set to Move

Serbian Nemanja Matic is out of contract with Manchester United in the summer. The 33-year-old announced in April he would leave at the end of the season.

Matic agent is reportedly in talks with several clubs. According to Jonathan Shrager, the midfielder could be on the move. Benfica, Fulham, Juventus, Roma and Napoli are among the clubs in talks. Matic is looking for a new challenge, having achieved all he can with United.

Nemanja Matic Options

Matic has many options if his representatives are talking to lots of different clubs. Recently promoted Fulham is one if the Serbian wishes to remain in English football and the Premier League. The Manchester United midfielder could also return to Benfica, where he spent three seasons and scored six goals during his time in Portugal.

The 33-year-old could also move to Italy, with Juventus, Roma and Napoli all interested. All three finished in the top six of Serie A, so it will be a good opportunity for Matic. The midfielder could finish his career with Champions League football, as Napoli and Juventus both qualified for next season’s competition.

If Nemanja Matic wants a bigger challenge, then signing for Fulham would make sense. The club finished top of the Championship and were promoted to the top flight. However, the Cottagers may struggle to stay there. Adding Matic to the squad would make sense. The Serbian has the experience and will be an asset to the London club.

It’s too early to say where the midfielder will end up, however, with so many options available, and no transfer fee involved, Matic has plenty of choice. A change of country, or a challenge in Premier League.
