Manchester United Predicted Lineup for Game Against Liverpool

Manchester United Predicted Lineup

Manchester United have lost two of their last five matches, remaining in the top six of the Premier League, but not up to their usual, somewhat lessened of late, standards. United were knocked out of the Champions League in March, so need a top-four finish to guarantee football in Europe’s most prestigious cup competition next season. Losing against Everton was a surprise, but their recent win against Norwich provided a valuable three points and has kept them in the hunt while Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur both lost on the weekend.

Using a back four has been common for United in recent seasons, and they will almost certainly keep it for the Liverpool game. The formations from that point have changed depending on the opponent, however. Against Norwich, a 4-3-3 proved successful.

Injuries to Consider for the Red Devils

Manchester United are still without Edinson Cavani, Scott McTominay, Luke Shaw and Raphael Varane who have been missing for a while. Fred also picked up an injury in the defeat to Everton, and will be unavailable for the Liverpool match. Further to this, Cristiano Ronaldo revealed on Monday that his newborn son had tragically died, and understandably decided to withdraw from the Liverpool game for personal reasons.

Some good news for United though is that Bruno Fernandes seems to be available. The midfielder was involved in a small car accident on his way to training on Monday. Fortunately, it appears that he wasn’t injured and so trained as normal.
